FAQ
Questions buyers ask before they send a request.
Straight answers about quotes, ordering, direct shipping, alternates, tax and returns. Don't see your question? Ask it in the notes of a quote request.
Dust collector filters
Can you match the filters in my dust collector?
Usually, yes. Send the part number from the filter's label or from your collector's manual.
No part number? Send the size (bag diameter and length, or a cartridge's outside diameter, inside diameter and length), the media if it is printed on the label, and photos of the old filter and the collector's nameplate.
Do you quote the original brand or an equivalent?
We quote the brand and part number you ask for. If you mark alternates as OK, we may also quote an equivalent filter made to the same size and media, labeled as an alternate so you can compare. The choice is yours.
Can one quote cover a whole changeout?
Yes. List the filters plus anything you replace with them, such as cages, gaskets or valve kits, and the date of your planned shutdown. One quote covers it all.
Quotes and ordering
What should I include in a quote request?
The manufacturer and the complete part number (every letter, dash and suffix), or for a filter its size and media; the quantity; and the date you need it. A ship-to ZIP code helps with freight.
Photos of the nameplate or label are welcome, especially when a number is worn or hard to read.
I don't have a part number. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Send clear photos of the part, its label or nameplate, and the equipment it comes from, plus any dimensions you can measure. We will ask follow-up questions if needed.
Some parts cannot be identified from photos alone. If that is the case, we will say so.
Can I send a list or a spreadsheet?
Yes. Add several part numbers on the quote form, paste rows copied from a spreadsheet, or attach your list as a PDF or photo.
How quickly will I get a quote?
We reply within one business day, either with your quote or with questions about the request.
Lead time for each item is stated on the quote. If a supplier needs longer to confirm price or availability, we tell you rather than leave you waiting.
How do I place an order?
Reply to the quote, or send a purchase order that references the quote number. We confirm the order with you before it is placed with the supplier, and pass along tracking when it ships.
What are your payment terms?
Payment terms are stated on each quote. If your company needs to set up a new vendor before ordering, tell us what your process requires.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account or login. Send a request and we reply by email.
Products and sourcing
What do you sell?
Dust collector filters and parts, quoted by part number or by size: filter bags, pleated cartridges, cages and venturis, pulse valves and diaphragm kits, gaskets and hardware.
Other parts are welcome too. If it has a manufacturer and a part number, send it and we will tell you whether we can quote it.
Do you keep parts in stock?
No. There is no warehouse. Parts are sourced from manufacturers and distributors and ship directly from them to you, so there is no extra handling step in between.
Are you affiliated with the brands you quote?
No. Courtney Industrial Supply is an independent reseller. Unless a quote says otherwise, we are not affiliated with, appointed by, or endorsed by the manufacturers whose parts we quote.
Brand names and part numbers are used only to identify the part you need.
Will you quote an equivalent from another brand?
Only if you allow it. The quote form has an “alternates are OK” box. Any alternate is labeled as an alternate on the quote, next to the part you asked for, and the choice is yours.
Shipping, tax and returns
Where do you ship?
Quotes are for delivery within the United States and are priced in U.S. dollars. If you need delivery outside the U.S., ask before you order.
Based in Sycamore, Illinois, serving plants across Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is shown on the quote when it applies. If your purchase is tax-exempt, send your exemption certificate with your order.
What if a part is wrong or needs to be returned?
Contact us before sending anything back. Returns depend on the manufacturer's or supplier's policy and must be approved first. Approved returns usually go back to the supplier, not to us.
Special-order items are often not returnable. When we know that, the quote says so.
Who sees the information I send?
Your request is used to source and quote the parts. Part details such as numbers and quantities may be shared with suppliers to get pricing. Your contact details are shared only when needed to complete an order. The privacy notice has the details.
